Useful hints
The small stuff that makes a stay
A few little things make a big difference here: a torch, decent shoes, layers, and remembering that wet grass is undefeated.
Bring a torch or headtorch — the orchard is intentionally dark.
Bring towels — they're not provided.
Wear suitable shoes after rain. Wet grass wins every time.
Pack layers for cool Devon evenings.
Bring waterproofs, even if the forecast disagrees.
Keep dogs on leads at all times.
Close gates behind you.
Don't feed or touch the farm animals.
Respect the quiet, especially at dusk and dawn.
Keep fires and BBQs supervised — raised BBQs only.
No naked flames in tents or vehicles.
Take care on uneven ground — the orchard is rustic by design.
Book breakfast or coffee extras in advance if you can.
Ask for recommendations — your hosts know the area well.
